Data provided to us by you: We ask for specific information such as your name (first and last), company, e-mail address and phone number when you signup to download, view or inquire about Executive Forum’s on-site materials, or if you communicate with us directly. Additionally, we may keep a record of any messages sent or received during our correspondence. We use this information to record services we have already provided to you, determine what future services may interest you and, if you choose to receive it, send you our newsletter. The information you provide us will not appear on our website unless we have discussed such an occurrence with you and received your permission to do so.

Data provided to us by third parties:
It is possible for us to receive information about you from third parties. For example, if you choose to access our website or services through a third party connection or login, i.e., through LinkedIn, “following” or “liking,”etc., that third party may pass specific information about your use of its service to Executive Forum. This information may include, but is not limited to, your account user ID (your LinkedIn account UID), any information you have permitted the third party to share with us and any information you have chosen to make public within that third party. You may choose to stop this information from being sent by changing the settings on the third party.

Data from analytics:
We may collect direct analytics data or use third party analytics tools and services, such as Act-On Software, to help us measure the traffic and usage trends for our various programs and pages. These tools are used to collect information sent by your browser or mobile device, including the pages you visit and other information that assists us in improving our understanding of your needs as a valued customer.

Cookies:
When you visit our website or landing pages, we may send one or more cookies(small text files constructed of alphanumeric characters) to your computer in order to uniquely identify your browser and allow Executive Forum to help you log in faster, as well as improve your overall experience of the site. Cookies may also send us information regarding how you utilize our website (i.e., links you click, pages you visit, forms you submit, etc.), and allow us to track how you use our website over time. We may use persistent cookies – those that remain on your hard drive after you close the browser – and/or session cookies – those that disappear after you close your browser. Log file:
When you use our website, our servers automatically record certain log file information. These server logs may include anonymous information such as your web request, internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, referring or exiting pages and URL’s, number of clicks and how you interact with links on the pages, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, etc. Clear gifs (web beacons): When you use Executive Forum’s website, we may employ clear gifs, also called web beacons, which are used to anonymously track the online usage patterns of those viewing our website. In addition, we may use clear gifs in HTML-based emails sent to our contacts to record which emails are opened and which links are clicked by recipients. The information allows us a better understanding of our customers and allows for improvement of our services.

Compliance with Children’s Online Privacy Act:
As a business service, Executive Forum does not target its services toward and does not knowingly collect any personal information from users under thirteen years of age.

Commercial and marketing communication:
We use the information we collect or receive, such as your e-mail address, to communicate directly with you. We may send you email containing newsletters, promotions, and special offers. If you do not wish to receive such email, you will always have the option to opt out or change your preferences.

Sharing of your information
We will not rent or sell your information into third parties outside Executive Forum. We will not share your information with Executive Forum’s group companies (including program facilitators) without your consent, except as noted below:

Who we may share your information with:
Upon registration for our services, we may share your information with our program facilitators for the purpose of providing you with our training services. Our program facilitators will be given limited access to your information as is reasonably necessary to deliver our services. We will also require that our program facilitators comply with this Privacy Policy or operate under a similar privacy policy.

California online privacy protection act notice
If you are a California resident, you are permitted, by the California Civil Code Section 1798.83, to request information regarding the disclosure of your personal information. If you would like to make such a request, please fill out a “Contact Us” form requesting this information. Executive Forum complies with the California Online Privacy Protection Act of 2014.
