Maryann BillingtonMaryann Billington is the CEO of Action Leadership Group. With thirty five years of experience in business and education, Ms. Billington provides consulting, executive coaching and leadership development for scores of organizations throughout the world. A thought-leader to executives, Maryann creates solutions for development, organization transformation and performance improvement. She facilitates strategy and leadership for corporate leaders and boards in a thought-provoking and innovative way.

Ms. Billington was formerly Senior Partner in Korn/Ferry International’s Leadership and Talent Consulting Group, chief client officer at Lore International Institute, and vice president for the human capital practice at The Concours Group, all places she fueled growth with creative programs. In the 1990s, she was practice director for Oracle Corporation’s performance consulting group that guided clients on technology adoption, elearning and organizational change. She managed global training including Six Sigma at Digital Equipment Corporation, and developed market research and consumer markets for Corning Glass Works. Her entrepreneurial spirit is reflected in the creation of two ventures as CEO – Spectra Performance Consulting and, currently, Action Leadership Group – focused on leadership excellence.

Maryann has been chosen as executive coach by leaders of many organizations and has guided the development of senior leaders in many functions, businesses and entrepreneurial roles. Her coaching is characterized as “personally focused, adaptive, business oriented, confidence-boosting, responsive, insightful, creative and knowledgeable.”

A former graduate business school dean at Northeastern University and dean of business and learning enterprises at Pikes Peak Community College, Ms. Billington also pioneered innovative business education, global learning and economic development. Maryann is a frequent author and keynote speaker on technology links with leadership development, implications of the emerging work force, global learning, coaching and leadership trends.

She received an MBA from Northeastern University, an international certificate through AIFS from the London School of Economics and a BA in economics and political science from Boston College.
