di·a·logic™ – Practices For Effective Conversation explores the disciplined approach to communication known as ‘dialogue,’ and addresses the techniques for applying it in the workplace. A key work/life skill, dialogue has proven to be valuable for both the individual and the organization.
Unlike other communication practices, dialogue focuses on opening our minds to change, rather than working to change minds. It is a process for building trust and optimizing learning in order to come to the best results.
Executive Forum offers two unique opportunities for you
to improve communication and
introduce the powerful benefits of a dialogue culture to your organization.
Two-day Workshop: di·a·logic – Practices For Effective Conversation
Blended di·a·logic Workshop for Large Groups
Solid business reasons for creating a dialogue culture include enhanced communication, customers are better served, change is easier to manage, decisions are derived from larger pools of information, there is increased openness and trust, and employees feel valued. The di·a·logic programs are all presented in partnership with Leadership Center West and are facilitated by Laurie Lemieux, M.S.
focuses on theindividual and improving communication within the organization. It builds on the concept of ‘action-oriented
dialogue,’ providing practice in:
- managing ‘trigger-styles,’
- talking out, rather than acting out, frustrations,
- checking out conclusions and assumptions, and
- exploring the scope, significance, and possibilities of issues.
The benefits of a dialogue culture have the greatest impact when applied throughout an organization, with many participants sharing the approach. For large groups
with more than 200 participants, a blended version of the di·a·logic program is available that combines web-based learning and individual familiarization with the concepts of dialogue, followed by a day of hands-on training and practice that clearly focuses on applying and experiencing the dialogue culture. This blended approach provides an efficient and cost-effective alternative for large groups, and
can also be used as the basis for our trainer certification program that equips your staff with the skills to handle future di·a·logic training in-house.
