Scott Blanchard

Scott Blanchard is a speaker, accomplished corporate trainer, and passionate champion of coaching in the workplace. Scott founded Coaching.com™, a Web-enabled corporate coaching and personal development service. Under his leadership, his organization is revolutionizing corporate coaching by offering the most advanced, accessible, and research-driven services in the industry. His personal philosophy is based on a fundamental shift occurring in the discipline of leadership: great leaders do not succeed by doing what they are good at, instead, they succeed by getting things done with and through others.

Scott’s presentations go to the heart of business issues. He speaks with conviction, honesty, and excitement concerning the infinite possibilities of success for both individuals and their organizations. His innate business instincts enrich his messages on coaching and leadership, and he turns that knowledge into plans for action, leaving audiences inspired and ready to achieve. Scott is senior vice president of The Ken Blanchard Companies, an internationally recognized management and leadership training and consulting firm based in San Diego, California. As a Blanchard family member and part owner, he represents the “next generation” charged with leading the business into the future. In addition, Scott is the principle architect of Blanchard’s strategic alliance with Ninth House® Network.

As a senior consulting partner for more than six years, Scott led major training interventions at numerous Fortune 500 companies. An accomplished trainer and organizational consultant, Scott is well-versed in Blanchard’s training programs, including Situational Leadership® II and Raving Fans®. Scott is also a certified facilitator and trainer for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, a well-known temperament assessment tool. He has written a book about the artisan temperament, called The Death of an Artisan and is the coauthor of Leverage the Best and Ditch the Rest, a book on corporate coaching.

Scott was educated at Cornell University and received his master’s degree in organizational development from American University in Washington, D.C. Scott has worked with several organizations including Anthem BlueCross and BlueShield, Sprint, KPMG, Black & Decker, Siemens, General Motors, Honda, NBA, Eastman Kodak, WorldCom, and Wachovia.

“At the recent ICF conference in Australia, Scott Blanchard delivered one of the standout presentations of the whole conference. It was stimulating, highly engaging, and powerful! I am still thinking about and applying the concepts weeks later.”
