Mark Gerzon
Mark Gerzon is Founder and President of the Global Leadership Network. An author, mediator, and leadership consultant, his current focus is on fostering global leadership, authoring a book called LEADING THROUGH CONFLICT: Transforming Differences Into Opportunity ( Harvard Business School Press:2006). His focus is both international and domestic.
Called an "expert in civil discourse" by the New York Times, Mark has been President of the Mediators Foundation, a non-profit incubator of conflict resolution projects, for the past 20 years. Mark is a consultant to communities and organizations specializing in leadership training for public officials who must deal with competing belief systems, interest groups and other community constituencies. In 1997 and 1999, he was selected to design and facilitate the working sessions of the US. House of Representatives' Bipartisan Congressional Retreat. Since that time, he continues to conduct dialogue trainings for Chiefs of Staff in the US House and Senate, and to facilitate "cross-spectrum" dialogues between Left, Center and Right.
Internationally, Mark is co-director of the Global Leadership Network, an international organization whose members are leadership practitioners from every region of the world. Among the Network's projects are a book on the global dimensions of leadership, and a "Global Leaders' program being designed in partnership with Outward Bound International. His deep commitment for the rest of his life is to foster true global leadership that focuses on care of the whole planet and all of humanity.
