Bernard J. Mohr, President, The Synapse Group, Inc, and Founding Partner, Appreciative Inquiry Consulting LLC has 35 years experience in helping clients such as AT&T, British Airways, BP, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, CP Rail, Coca Cola, Domtar/Georgia Pacific, Elliot Health System, Exxon, Episcopal Church/USA, Girl Scouts/USA GlaxoSmithKline, Grupo SAISC, Hannaford, ITT/Hartford, Internal Revenue Service, LL Bean, Martins Point Health Care, National Defense/Canada, Novo Nordisk, Pearson Peacekeeping Centre, RR Donnelley with collaborative, approaches to strategic organizational change – specializing in High Performance Work Systems, Strategy Development & Implementation, Organization ReDesign, Creating Organization Culture, Business Process Innovation and Knowledge Sharing.

He completed his undergraduate studies in Organizational Psychology (University of Waterloo), and his graduate work in Adult and Organizational Learning (University of Toronto) and Organization Design (Columbia University). A Registered Organization Development Consultant, Bernard is on the Advisory Board of the Taos Institute, and is a senior faculty member of NTL Institute - serving between 1984 and 1988 as an elected member of NTL’s Board of Directors and chair of NTL’s professional development committee.

He has taught at the Universities of Toronto, Ottawa, Dayton, and Cornell, the Canadian Centre For Management Development, the Danish Center for Management, NTL Institute and the Taos Institute. A pioneer in Appreciative Inquiry, he developed the first Advanced Workshop in Appreciative Inquiry, the first Field Practicum in Appreciative Inquiry and produced the First International Conference On Appreciative Inquiry. Bernard recently served as lead editor for special focus issues of the AI Practitioner.
